Design Thinking
Design Thinking is a human-centered approach to problem solving. Our project teams observe, collaborate, learn quickly, visualize ideas, and rapidly prototype to create innovate and impactful solutions.
Innovation is necessary to stay relevant in a rapidly-changing, complex, and competitive environment. Without meaningful innovation, agencies may fail to meet critical demands, lose credibility with stakeholders, and miss opportunities to save money and increase mission performance.
At Arc Aspicio, we embrace taking action. We use our Strategy and Innovation Lab (SILab) to apply innovation methods that combine structured analysis with tools and approaches to stimulate creativity. We identify applicable innovative approaches across the public and private sectors and apply them in the context of the unique needs of each client. Our team focuses on innovating and helping organizations to innovate, to adapt and evolve to meet the ever-changing needs of their mission and stakeholders.
We create innovative customer-friendly solutions that increase an organization’s data-driven decision-making capacity, breakdown organizational siloes, and help bridge the gap between organizations and their customers.

Behavioral science aims to influence human behavior by recognizing how people make and act on decisions in context and then applying levers to change those behaviors to change outcomes. Behavioral science insights are based on scientific research on human behavior from different disciplines spanning from economics to neuroscience. The scope of Arc Aspicio’s research, adoption, and application of behavioral science is investigating how to apply insights on human behavior to improve our Government client’s mission outcomes.

The sum of all interactions a customer has with an organization is Customer Experience (CX). It informs how the customer perceives the services they receive. Understanding a customer’s needs allows agencies to improve these interactions and build their trust. This helps an agency achieve its mission outcomes and provide better experiences to the citizens and stakeholders they serve. We improve CX by using a five-step Customer First approach.

Our Innovation Toolkit include activities, templates, and tools that we tailor to meet our client’s individual needs for each step of the process. These include:
Innovation Workshops benefit our clients by bringing together key stakeholders to address their most difficult challenges. Innovation enhances a project in many ways including identifying new opportunities, solutions, and efficiencies. Using our Innovation Tools, Innovation Workshops help our clients look at challenges in new ways and provide a strategic framework for analyzing, prioritizing, and actualizing innovations.
Our High Value Sprints help teams and clients solve problems and produce outputs rapidly and collaboratively. Bringing people together with clear objectives, rigorous structure, and specific timelines, our sprints focus effort to optimize participants’ time commitments while enhancing the quality and buy-in of the ideas and solutions. The iterative nature of our approach minimizes risk and tests the viability of solutions so these are ready for implementation. Our sprint process is flexible, repeatable, and easy to tailor to unique customer needs and conveys a stakeholder focus.
Our People Analytics Framework includes three elements: Data Collection, Data Types, and Applications of Data. It also includes considerations for the process to help clients achieve specific outcomes such as data-driven decision making about the workforce, improving talent acquisition, and increasing employee engagement.
Compelling stories move people to take action and change behavior. Developing and communicating the story is a continual, end-to-end process that starts as we gather insights from our clients, stakeholders, and research. Individuals’ perception and understanding of high-value solutions vary, and therefore we use interviews to determine how to best communicate the story to stakeholder groups. Our approach focuses on developing visualizations and dashboards that help the audience understand where data came from and how it got there, adds context, and allows them to follow the path, creating a greater connection. The stronger the connection between the data and the narrative, the smoother the adoption and ability for the audience to understand the takeaway or insight.
