to EAGLE II
With the release of the draft Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions II (EAGLE II) solicitation less than a week away, bidders are starting to learn more information about the procurement. The draft request for proposals, a follow-on to the original EAGLE awarded in 2006, is expected to be released Monday, May 17th. Comments will be due in approximately 30 days after the release.
EAGLE II will serve as the main source of technology services for the Department of Homeland Security The original vehicle has resulted in more than $8 billion in awards on over 400 task orders. EAGLE II is expected to have a ceiling value of up to $22 billion.
The size of the vehicle has earned it a lot of attention. According to the House Homeland Security Committee, more than 1,700 company representatives attended a late March pre-solicitation conference for the vehicle.
