National Preparedness
Month Webinar
In 2003, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) launched Ready, a national campaign with the goal to gain public involvement and ultimately to increase the level of basic preparedness across the nation. The campaign asks individuals to do three key things: get an emergency supply kit, make an emergency plan, and be informed. Since launching, the campaign has grown to provide specialized extensions such as Ready Business and Ready Kids and a FEMA-sponsored National Preparedness Month (NPM) every September.
The Ready campaign kicks off the seventh annual NPM with a webinar to introduce the 2010 Toolkit and other information about NPM 2010 including how to become a NPM Coalition Member and the many ways to support NPM. This year will focus on encouraging Americans to work together to take concrete actions toward emergency preparedness and to join the readiness team and truly help themselves, their neighbors, and their communities be Ready. The 2010 National Preparedness Month Webinar takes place Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at 3 p.m. EDT. Click here for information on joining the NPM Webinar.
