Arc Aspicio Continues Strategic Conversations to Counter Human Trafficking

Arlington, VA, December 9, 2020 — In 2020, as the 20-year anniversary of the Trafficking in Persons Act closes, Arc Aspicio commits to ongoing strategic conversations to counter human trafficking in 2021.

In November 2019, facilitators from Arc Aspicio’s Strategy Innovation Lab (SILab) and from across the Government led a conversation with a group of 30 human trafficking professionals with experience in Federal and local law enforcement, victim service advocates and providers in Government and non-profit organizations, academia, private sector, and a human trafficking survivor. This strategic conversation centered around the trends in human trafficking – both to combat it and to prevent victimization now and in the future.

Facilitators with experience in the field of combating human trafficking led the group through a structured discussion to share ideas about current initiatives and to explore bold ideas for the future. The conversation focused on answering a big question: To reduce human trafficking nationally, what is one bold idea? The conversation led to more than 50 ideas and made professionals from all disciplines think differently about the future in fighting this crime.

“This strategic conversation was the first of what we hope are a series of conversations, events, and collaborations over the next few years.” Says Lynn Ann Casey, Chief Executive Officer of Arc Aspicio. “As we look at the recent 20-year anniversary of TVPA, we are committed to continues strategic conversations with an intentional focus on innovation and spurring action to help government, private sector, non-profit, and academia work together to achieve measurable results.

Arc Aspicio is devoted to the fight against human trafficking, having provided pro bono support to numerous anti-trafficking organizations and supporting Federal projects to combat human trafficking. The company won the GovCon Program of the Year Award for their first-of-its-kind project to assess the human trafficking challenges domestically in 2014. Arc Aspicio plans to continue to facilitate and drive conversations with experts across the country to stop human trafficking and to continue to pursue projects supporting this mission.
