Advancing the Information Sharing Environment: DHS Updates its Information Sharing Segment Architecture to v3.0

DHS CIO, Richard Spires, recently announced an update to the DHS Information Sharing Segment Architecture (ISSA). The ISSA guides the implementation of the DHS Information Sharing Environment (ISE) – the future state of information across the Department. While the ISSA is a Department-focused roadmap, the update has already received praise from the Program Manager for the Information Sharing Environment (PM-ISE) as a critical step in making DHS information more easily shareable. The PM-ISE plans to leverage the lessons learned and best practices from the ISSA into an Interoperability Framework designed to advance information sharing across the whole of government.
