“What drew you to Arc Aspicio?” Out of the many interviews I have conducted so far, I can almost guarantee that the candidate will ask me this at some point in the conversation, and it is a question that I love to answer.

While there are many aspects that drew me to Arc Aspicio, the one that stands out to me the most is our commitment to our employees’ professional development. At Arc Aspicio, we invest in our people every day, through a variety of opportunities and channels that fall under our Integrated Professional Development (IPD) program. As a driven, growing consulting company, we dedicate ourselves to helping our employees develop diverse skillsets consisting of consulting, leadership, management, and functional abilities to become stronger entrepreneurial consultants and leaders.

Starting from your first day, you receive Orientation that covers 10 areas that range from New Business to Strategy to Recruiting, providing you with an in-depth introduction to the company. If you are a client-facing consultant, you also receive project orientation the next day at your project site. In addition, multiple times a year you take part in All Hands Meetings where you receive training on a variety of topics ranging from Scope Management to Creative Problem Solving. We also encourage new joiners to apply for one of the Peer Groups, which Jaison Carter details in “Our Company Invests in Our Future Leaders”, attend ad-hoc Brown Bags, listening sessions, and case studies, and participate in our mentoring program. These are only a few of the ways Arc Aspicio invests in its people!

 

 

When employees seek more specific training, they can request for external training. In the one year that I have been at Arc Aspicio, I have already attended an online Design Thinking course, a human resources seminar, and an intensive recruiting conference. I have always had a passion for learning, and it is so refreshing to be at a company that supports and invests in it.

After receiving incredibly helpful career counseling from multiple company executives, I recently made the decision to go back to school for my Master’s in Human Resources Management at Georgetown University in Fall 2018, and I couldn’t be more excited. I feel so fortunate to have my personal moonshots not only acknowledged, but also encouraged. I look forward to gaining so much new knowledge in graduate school and applying it to my career at Arc Aspicio. I cannot wait to share what I learn about talent management and culture with our people, and continue to enhance my company’s results in attracting, developing, and retaining the right talent around a shared, strong, and well-defined culture.
