Launching into #Action Through Strategy
As a new employee, your first company-wide meeting can make you nervous. This was how I felt.
Arc Aspicio’s recent Strategy Launch Day was so well planned and it involved participants so that I learned that I had nothing to worry about! The company treats each employee equally and equips even the newest joiners with the information and skills they need to have a meaningful experience.
When I first arrived on the morning of Strategy Launch Day, I mingled with my new colleagues over a delicious breakfast, sipping coffee and bonding over our dogs (because truly, #welovedogs). I immediately felt welcomed and thankful to be part of such a friendly group.
My gratitude grew as I wandered into the conference room, where name tags were placed meticulously throughout the room. Any anxiety I had about finding a seat immediately dissipated. We opened with some icebreakers that allowed me to interact with the people sitting around me. This happened periodically throughout the day to break up the presentations and give us a chance to get on our feet.
Strategy Launch Day began with an open, honest, and thorough discussion about the government shutdown. As a new employee, I appreciated the true transparency and stability that Arc Aspicio offers. Addressing this difficult subject right away allowed us to spend the rest of the day discussing our strategy for a bright future!
Together, we all watched an innovative video about our new strategy. Company executives discussed the four strategic objectives and explored the initiatives related to each one. The variety of speakers kept the conversation exciting and showed me just how many people are passionate about Arc Aspicio! Afterward, I had the opportunity to interact with the individuals spearheading the initiatives, ask my own questions, and even offer to help.
Overall, the day was filled with opportunities to mingle with peers from different projects and think about our new strategic objectives and initiatives. There was also plenty of time to discuss my individual interests, and I discovered ways to implement our new initiatives for the benefit of my client. And finally, it inspired me to take #action on one of these initiatives. Strategy Launch Day taught me so much about Arc Aspicio, and I am so fortunate to be a member of the team.
