Arc Aspicio Commitment to Volunteering
Washington, DC, February 17, 2020 – Arc Aspicio completed an ambitious Community Involvement Program in 2019. The company participated in mission focused events, increased their volunteerism, and provided pro bono consulting services, including communication and operational support, to the Amara Legal Center and the Information Technology Disaster Center (ITDRC).
Amara Legal Center provides free legal services to individuals whose rights have been violated “while involved in commercial sex, whether involvement was by coercion, necessity, choice, or otherwise, in the D.C. metropolitan area”. In effort to assist their mission, Arc Aspicio helped produce new branding and legislative goals in aims to eradicate human trafficking through collaboration, education, and survivor-centered advocacy.
ITDRC is a volunteer organization that supports disaster-stricken communities by providing critical IT services in the aftermath of catastrophic events. Arc Aspicio helped develop the Tech Task Force improving governmental and corporate communication.
In 2019, The Greater Washington Good Business Awards nominated Arc Aspicio for their award Celebrating Community Leadership. Arc Aspicio employees volunteered about 200 hours and participated in many programs such as the Fast and Furriest 5K in Frederick, Maryland, the Northern Virginia Human Trafficking Initiative in Reston, Virginia, and Meal Pack Challenge at the National Mall DC. Our company attended events such as the Girls Driving a Difference Workshop in Capitol Heights, Maryland, which promotes young girls to discover their confidence, purpose, and dreams to change the world.
“Thank you to everyone who helped fundraise for these incredible causes and spent time volunteering at these organizations. As our company grows so will our presence in the community.” says Despina Panagoulias, Community Involvement Executive.
The National Disaster Search Dog Foundation (SDF) continues to be Arc Aspicio’s top non-profit organization. This past year, Arc Aspicio raised more than $13,000 towards the SDF. Arc Aspicio plans on continuing their philanthropic relationship with SDF and growing the Search Dog Family. In 2020, the company plans to expand its work combating human trafficking and supporting SDF.
